I wrote it from a dark place of struggling from both depression and PTSD. Sometimes, the foothold of darkness can take root in our hearts and hang on tight. In these moments, it can be hard to see a way out or glimpse the light on the other side. “Shine Again” is about believing in that light. I hope it will inspire people to embrace both faith and courage. We need to remember that, like the transition from night to sunrise, the darkness will pass and that we have the strength inside to “Shine Again” My goal is to use the inspiration of music to share the message of hope and healing for people struggling with depression and other mental health issues. The #ShineAgainProject was created to raise awareness, create a community of support & change mental health stigmas. I believe that we stand stand stronger when we stand together. New Inspiring Music by Alternative Indie Pop Music Artist, Singer, Songwriter, Meredith Blis “I always refer to this as my ‘happy song.’ For me, ‘Zero Gravity’ is about finding a place where we can ‘just be’ without the noise of everyday life. It's a place of peace where nothing else can touch you. I wrote "Zero Gravity" imagining a world free from the daily chaos of to-do lists, and the constant noise of cell phones, texts, emails, and social media. I visualize a planet spinning and the axis is our genuine authentic self. Too often we allow our axis to revolve around the priorities of society and those around us. 'Zero Gravity' is the alternative, stepping away from the noise & being in a space where we are inspired and connected more deeply with our own inner voice. This alternative space is also a place with No Gravity - it’s our happy place. It feels Ethereal & Chill. When we are there, we feel lighter, and our inner light can shine more brightly. My wish was to create an empowering song, with an Indie Pop feel. But, The evolution of this song took time to manifest and it all began as a songwriting challenge. Usually, I like to go off the map for hours, even days to write. During this specific period of time, life was too busy to make that happen. I created an experiment and instead of focusing on marathon writing sessions, I focused for only 10-15 minutes a day.
