FIRE FLIES
is Out THIS Friday 11/12

But in reality … it’s not a new song … if you’ve been to a live show in the past many years, you may have already heard it.
But NOT like THIS!
When I first started working with producer, Sean Trueblood, we were both drawn to dig this one out of the vault!

Fire Flies was actually the first complete song that I wrote after moving to Nashville, many moons ago. And the writing process behind this tune is actually a little funny

Most of it came to me one eve while I was out listening to a friend play at The Basement, a venue in Nashville.
Suddenly words started to flowing in my brain . . .

I remember sitting there and stealthily typing on my iPhone - hoping no one would notice.
what’s a girl to do when the muse appears at a somewhat inopportune time?

I wrote most of the lyrics while I was at the bar!
As soon as I got home that eve, I hit the piano.
And Fire Flies ended up being one of those rare songs that poured out and came together all at once.

SO Grateful to the people who contributed their creativity and helped take this song to the next level!

Vocal producer/engineer Jonell Polansky of Da Capo Music in Nashville who really helped the vocals to shine
And mix/mastering engineer, Gosteffects who did an incredible job bringing it all together with a magical mix.
What’s crazy here? My collaboration with Gosteffects has been completely online and we’ve never actually met! Welcome to 2021 … lol!
